This is a vintage second print poster (approx. 12 3/4" x 21 1/2", and printed shortly after the shows by promoter Chet Helms. This is an authorized printing of this poster, not some later reprint or bootleg) promoting a series of shows at the Family Dog in Denver (1601 West Evans St.). These shows took place December 29-31, 1967, and featured The Doors, Allmen Joy & Gingerdred Bleu. The classic psychedelic sixties image that adorns this poster was designed by the late Rick Griffin, and is the 18th image in the Family Dog Denver series. This beautiful poster has been very carefully preserved for over fifty-five years, and remains in EXCELLENT/FLAWLESS condition (as most of these posters were, there is a diagonal mis-cut along the top edge. This was done at the printer, and as I said, most seem to have it), and would make a nice substitute for the more expensive first printing ($500+). This is guaranteed to be AUTHENTIC Family Dog poster, and we will gladly issue a COA upon request.
