About Hall of Fame Plaque Postcards
Since 1950, the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown has issued official plaque postcards featuring the bronze induction plaques displayed in the gallery. These postcards have been printed continuously from the 1950s onward, with the familiar gold or yellow Mike Roberts style in use for several decades beginning in the mid-1960s. Collectors value these postcard issues for their consistent design, official Hall of Fame origin, and their suitability for obtaining autographs, making them one of the most recognizable and collectible Hall of Fame formats.

About Bill Terry
Bill Terry, one of the most accomplished first basemen of the early twentieth century, starred for the New York Giants from 1923 to 1936. Known for his remarkable bat control, quick hands, and consistent production, Terry remains the last National League player to hit .400, achieving a .401 batting average in 1930. A career .341 hitter, he posted six seasons above .350 and anchored the Giants lineup during an era defined by strong pitching and spacious ballparks. Terry was also a respected leader, succeeding John McGraw as Giants manager in 1932 and guiding the club to the 1933 World Series championship. His managerial tenure was marked by disciplined play, sound fundamentals, and multiple pennant-contending teams. Elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1954, Terry is remembered as one of the finest left-handed hitters of his generation and an essential figure in the Giants’ storied history.
