Before attempting to shoot PFS, it is highly RECOMMENDED you watch some of the many Videos Available. 

The sloping tips are Reported By many user to produce a faster shot, due to less drag on the bands , they also allow you to shoot "straight wrist", a more natural angle .

Straight wrist shooting reduces strain , which can result in better accuracy.
