Authentic Late 50s P.A.F. Tone and Feel

The Antiquity Humbucker set is Seymour Duncan’s most authentic recreation of a true vintage P.A.F., both sonically and visually.

Each pickup is hand aged, hand wound and built with period-correct materials to deliver the character, warmth and harmonic richness of the most coveted late 50s humbuckers.

The Antiquity neck model produces a smooth, articulate voice with sweet highs and a warm, rounded low end. Its Alnico 2 magnet creates an airy openness that allows chords to breathe and single notes to sing.

The Antiquity bridge captures the open, dynamic tone of a well-preserved 1950s P.A.F. High notes cut without harshness, and the low end has a soft, spongy response that feels unmistakably vintage. The bridge is wound slightly hotter for optimal balance.

Each pickup is aged both cosmetically and magnetically, and is built using butyrate bobbins, plain enamel wire, long-leg nickel silver baseplates and unpotted coils for enhanced harmonic complexity and touch sensitivity.
