Dating from the early Victorian period, this good quality desk box is constructed from gilt tooled leather. It has a shaped top with stylised cut card work decoration opening to a fitted interior complete with original letter scent slips and fitments as well as period letters and hand written documents. The box is in sturdy vintage condition.
The closed box measures 32 cm (12 1/2 in) wide by 7 cm (2 3/4 in) tall and 28 cm (11 in) deep. Please contact us with any questions before bidding or buying.
