Vintage Chrome Martin Dumbbells – 8 lbs Each

Overview:

Pair of vintage Martin dumbbells with the classic rounded ball-end shape and chrome-plated finish. These are solid cast-iron weights from the mid-century era and have the embossed MARTIN 8 LBS markings on each handle. Harder to find in this style, especially with the chrome still intact.

Design / Details:

– Solid cast-iron construction with chrome plating

– Embossed MARTIN 8 LBS lettering on both handles

– Classic mid-century “ball end” profile

– Approximately 8 inches long (see photos with ruler)

– Manufactured seam line around the neck is original to production and not a crack

Condition:

These show honest age and use. There is oxidation, scattered rust spotting, chrome pitting, and areas where the plating has worn through. The chrome still retains shine overall, and both dumbbells remain solid with no structural damage, breaks, or cracks. The circular line around the handle base is a factory casting line seen. Surfaces have typical wear from decades of storage and use.

Additional Notes:

Pairs in this series often show heavy rust and complete chrome loss, so this set still displays well for collectors, retro gym décor, or restoration. Fully functional for light workouts or as vintage fitness décor.
