Three California surf buddies (Fabian, Tab Hunter and Peter Brown) travel to Hawaii during summer break, looking for the challenge of the truly huge waves, each with their own motivations. They are not alone in their quest, which sets up the dynamics for them to win the hearts of three bikini-clad females (Barbara Eden, Shelley Fabares and Susan Hart) who become enamored with them. Probably the best 60's era surfing movie for seeing quality, big-wave, longboard riding by some of the greatest surfers of all time, along with actual 1960's North Shore Oahu Hawaii surf scenes.
