Antique 13" T. Wilkinson Tailor's Shears / Scissors

Quality Victorian heavy duty tailoring shears that are very rare; 13inches in length 1.16 kg

Made with solid brass handles and Sheffield steel blades.

They are stamped with the maker's name T.Wilkinson & Son and stamped 'WARRANTED' with the Bow & 3 Arrows emblem on the back face.

T.Wilkinson (1782-1863) was renown for  designing and manufacturing top quality scissors in Sheffield, Great Britain.

He had a Royal Warrant for scissor making to Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.
He became 'Master Cutler' in 1843 and won many medals at the Great Exhibition of 1861.
His son, George joined him 1814 to 1868.
The ergonomic grip design on the brass handles shreak quality craftsmanship; they're so comfortable to hold and use.
These shears are very old; made to last forever!
