This is an authentic late 1800s to early 1900s cast iron No. 2 bell (circa 1890–1915). This is the early unmarked foundry period associated with C.S. Bell & Co. production before standardized logo casting was adopted.
The actual bell measures approximately 14 inches across the base, 10” tall, weighs about 38 lbs, and includes its original cast iron clapper, which produces a strong, clear tone. The mount and clapper obviously adds additional size, the measurements are for the bell only.
The bell has an old repair that was done many years ago and is solid and stable. There are no cracks in the bell itself, and it rings loudly and cleanly. The original patina has been left intact for authenticity and character.
