Art Deco signed studio portrait by renowned Melbourne photographer Spencer Shier dated 1940.

Presented in its original frame and mount. Shier was well known for photographing society figures and his works are held in the NGV and State Library Victoria.

This is an excellent example of his portrait style, with signature and date to lower right.
