This is a promotional item for the 2002 MTV Movie Awards.

It looks like an invitation. The inside has the names of some of the guests. 

It also comes with a piece of red carpet. The card says it was used at the event. The show must have aired on MTV at a later date and this was the promotion. I believe these were sent to certain magazine subscribers. 

The card has some wear from storage. It would make a nice display piece.
