First edition of a rare 18th century pamphlet published on the occasion of the anniversary of the death of Philip V (Versailles 1683- Madrid 1746), King of Spain. The pamphlet praises Philip V and his deeds. The author, José Antonio Moxo y Francoli (1751-1810), was the Baron of Juras Reales and in 1803 was nominated “fiscal de la Audiencia Real” ( fiscal auditor) of Chile. He was the older brother of Benito Moxo y Francoli (1763-1816) Archbishop of La Plata, Peru. The family Moixo, of Catalan origin, was one of the most influential families in colonial America.
Limited publication from the press of the Catalan University of Cervera, which was created in 1717 after the War of Spanish Succession.
