Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills are a professional football team based in Buffalo, New York, competing in the National Football League (NFL) as a member of the AFC East division. Founded in 1960 as a charter member of the American Football League (AFL), the Bills won two AFL championships in 1964 and 1965 before joining the NFL in the 1970 AFLNFL merger. The franchise is perhaps most famously known for its remarkable run in the early 1990s, when the Bills became the only team in NFL history to appear in four consecutive Super Bowls (19901993), though they were unable to secure a victory. The Bills history features legendary players such as running back O.J. Simpson, who became the first player to rush for over 2,000 yards in a season (1973), quarterback Jim Kelly, running back Thurman Thomas, wide receiver Andre Reed, and defensive end Bruce Smithall central figures in the 1990s Super Bowl teams. These Hall of Famers helped establish the Bills reputation as one of the most competitive teams of their era. In recent years, the Bills have reemerged as a powerhouse in the AFC under head coach Sean McDermott and quarterback Josh Allen, who has become one of the leagues most dynamic dual-threat passers. The team has consistently competed for division titles and playoff success, highlighted by deep postseason runs in the early 2020s. With a strong roster and energetic coaching staff, the Bills continue to pursue their first Super Bowl victory.
