This listing is for a vintage Al Stohlman Photo-Carve Design leathercraft instructional packet. It features a detailed Indian Head profile portrait, complete with carving, stamping, embossing, and dyeing instructions, along with tool references (#896, #895, #890).

This piece is new old stock, part of the inventory from a craft store that operated from the 1950s through the 1980s before closing. The remaining stock was stored safely for decades, leaving these instructional patterns unused and well-preserved.

Photo-Carve Designs were created by Al Stohlman to help leatherworkers achieve realistic portraits and detailed embossing. These tracing and dyeing guides allowed even intermediate crafters to create professional-quality tooled leather portraits.
