For your consideration, this lovely and unique hand made Holy Land 18K gold reliquary pendant, following ancient Byzantine and Romanesque models from central Europe. It depicts the Crucifixion of Christ on Mount Calvary witnessed by Virgin Mary and St John the Baptist. 18k gold (acid tested), Enamels, ancient Holy Land. The piece is a wonderful and unique example of religious art following the Byzantine/Romanesque craftmanship style, great mastery in the finish and careful detailed figures.
This piece showcases techniques that have been passed down through generations, making it truly one-of-a-kind treasure. A testament to the skill and artistry to the artisans who created it.
This is a delicate piece that displays absolutely and unparalleled quality workmanship throughout. Incredible attention to detail that is hard to find in contemporary pieces. Very good overall condition for its age, however it has some age marks (please watch closely the provided pics). Original patina.
