Here's a fun notched tramp art house model with good details. The roof has 2 gables with windows. When you open the front door and peek inside you see some interior details like a bench and a fireplace and notched doorways.  Check out all the pictures. Notice the little chip along the roofline. This could easily be colored in but I haven't done that. This little house measures 12.75 inches long X 8 inches wide X 8.5 inches tall. This piece is just another example of the wide variety of tramp art creations available for the collector.

Bright Green Thoughts

We can apply the concept of “recycling” to reusing and salvaging fine old pieces of furniture. These are practical and well-made, regardless of style or antiquity. Look at the price and quality of vintage furniture, and then look at  newly-manufactured pieces. There is no comparison.

A vast universe of vintage  furniture already exists, and  when you buy a solid piece of reused furniture, you are saving trees and the energy needed to manufacture more stuff. Then look at the many aspects of shipping from foreign ports, with tariffs and associated costs.

You can be an Earth-friendly hero, and still save money by getting a quality piece of furniture.  Or you can buy a shoddily-made out-gassing particle-board item at a high price. Hmmm.

Then there’s the fun of the hunt for that special treasure. If it’s not a fine antique, you refinish it, doll it up with chalk paint or new pulls, and generally express your own creativity.

It seems like an easy choice to me.
