With Costner's comment that the film "Dances with Wolves will forever be my love letter to the past," the stage is set for this book, which is a testament to the affection and care expended on the film.

Glorious photographs, actual screenplay, and explanatory comments from actors, technical advisors, and the authors provide background for this production.

The magnificence of the Native American, wolf, and buffalo, along with the respect and concern with which this film was made, are captured in this stirring work .

I bought this book for my grandson when he was about 3 years old...It was amazing that a child so
young would sit and watch this three hours movie mesmorized...His love for the book was no less...

He knew all the characters in the movie and the names of the actors who played them...I believe this
is a testament to how lovely the movie and this book are...

The pictures are vivid and beautiful, the
depiction of how the movie was written and made and of the same value...

I highly recommend this
to anyone who loved and enjoyed this movie as much as we did...I recently re-purchased it as the
much worn and much loved book met it's fate in a fire a few years ago...

So I bought it for my grandson
again and he was so happy....Beautiful book and well done....
