UnderHood Under Bonnet Black Satin Finish Paint US Quart (946ml)

Eastwood UNDERHOOD BLACK® is the perfect lacquer paint for the correct OEM-matching finish under your bonnet in a Black Satin finish.

UNDERHOOD BLACK® Satin Finish is just the right 15-19 percent semi-gloss finish for most Radiator Supports, Inner Wing Walls, Under Bonnet Brackets, and other Under Bonnet Parts. The Matte formula duplicates the near-zero gloss finish you find in many older cars for those parts. Both formulas resist Chipping, Scratches and Light Impacts. This 946ml tin can can covers 48 sqft (4.46 Sqm). This paint is specially formulated and is far superior than any typical paint purchased from a DIY store as these are usually too Thick, too Glossy or the Wrong Colour.

How to use:

Just Clean, Degrease, and prepare the parts well as all surfaces must be Clean, Dry and free from Dirt, Grease and Oil. For maximum protection, first prime with Eastwood Self-Etching Primers or Epoxy Primer before Top Coating with the Paint for a Professional, Factory-Like, Under the Bonnet Paint Finish. The Acrylic Lacquer withstands up to 250° F and goes on thin for a smooth finish that doesn’t hide surface details. For best results, use when can is between 70 and 90 degrees F. This Engine-Compartment Paint may be used over Bare Metal, Self-Etching Primer, or Rust Encapsulator..
Do not use with Enamel Primers.

Customer Review: “I’m building a 1969 Yenko Camaro. I have the subframe and arms powder coated. I used Underhood Black on the engine bay and the underfloor. You cannot tell the difference between the powder coating and the Eastwood paint…amazing results! Looks factory-new now.”
