These mineral specimen are from the Tri-State mining district (SE Kansas, NE Oklahoma, and SW Missouri). These mines have been closed and purchased by the federal government since the 1950s. Meaning minerals that come from this district are Rare and in Limited supply. No new specimen will ever be mined again.
This is a beautiful Galena cluster with a little Ruby Sphalerite, and if you look closely, there is a few spots of Chalcopyrite mixed in. This unique mineral specimen is a must-have for collectors of rocks or minerals. Its distinct characteristics make it a valuable addition to any display specimen collection.
Specimen measures 3" long, 2" wide, and 1-1/2" thick. It weighs 95g, or 3.35oz.
