1) conversion kits from this auction allows you to convert FIVE Carl Zeiss Jena 'MC' lenses with M42 mount to ARRI PL mount, which is the most popular mount used in professional film cameras; this set allow you to build full set, as it has parts to convert five lenses (20mm, 35mm, 50mm, 80mm and 135mm); after this conversion, you will be able to use this particular lens, with all Arri PL mounted camcorders; NOTE, that this conversion kit works with 'MC' M42 version of lenses, NOT with any other Carl Zeiss Jena M42 lenses, like" Q1 or 'zebra';

2) conversion kit requires partially disassemble of the lens and therefore some minimum knowledge of photographic equipment repairs, in particular mechanics of a photographic lens; to mount ARRI PL mount, M42 mount of the lens must be dismantled to replace it with parts from our kit; in some cases, it will also be necessary to adjust or calibrate of the lens from lens side; for those who do not feel up to doing the conversion themselves, we recommend taking the lens to a professional photographic lens service; we can provide basic user manual of course, how to convert this lens, but we do not guarantee, that these tips will be fully understandable to everyone; we provide full after purchase support for our Clients, but you need to understand, that sometimes there can be even 48h or more delays in our answers;

3) converting your CZJ ' MC' M42 lens mount to Arri PL mount with our kit, allows you to set the focus to the so-called infinity; our Arri PL mount does not have a corrective lens, so there is no question of any loss of optical quality; our mount is made solidly, in accordance with the highest production standards, from PA6 duralumin, used, among others, in aviation; internal elements of this kit is also done from duralumin PA6, anodized black; adaptations of this type do not allow for controlling auto-focus function or any other control from the camcorder, because they are "dumb" adaptations (simple metal and plastic elements, without any electronic elements); the aperture and focus are operated manually using rings on the lens; the camcorder can adjust the exposure time to the aperture set on the lens, but this depends on camcorder type, that is used;

4) usually conversion kits works very well, but you need to understand, that adaptation can sometimes generate some problems, so there's a chance, that around 10% of lenses won't work with our conversion kit properly and they would have to be custom converted by us to work; there's no chance to check it, before conversion process or lens mount disassemble, so you have o understand, that it can happen to your lens; we are also not responsible for any damage during conversion of your lens, as if you are not able to do it by yourself, we recommend to take lens and conversion kit to photographic lens service, to make it done by professional technician;
