How to Change Ignition Coils and Spark Plugs?

This product recommends professional installation.

1. Disconnect the old ignition coil and spark plugs

2. Disconnect your battery’s negative terminal

3. Locate the ignition coil and spark plugs to be replaced.

4. Release the clip on the plug running into the side of coil.

5. Use a wrench to unscrew the bolts holding the original coil in place

6. Extract original ignition coil and spark plugs from the engine bay

7. Swapping in the new ignition coil and spark plugs

8. Prior to installation, compare the new coil to the old one

9. Orient the new coil in the same direction

10. Insert the bolts to hold the coil in place

11. Activate the New ignition coil and spark plugs

12. Connect the plug into the side coil

13. Plug in ignition cables according to the order written on them.

14. Reconnect the battery

15. Start the vehicle to test the new ignition coil and spark plugs

Note:

1. In preparation for the replacement, the vehicle should be turned off and cooled for a certain period of time before starting the replacement.

2. Pay attention to the cleanliness of the entire operation, must wipe the ignition coil around the dust and oil, if into the combustion chamber, will have serious adverse effects, try to wear gloves to operate.

Failure judgment:
A.If the engine failed with the ignition system, such as inability to start up, lack of strength for fail, etc. the ignition coil shall be checked.
B.Exclude failures of the spark plug, distributor, and high-voltage line.
C.If the ignition coil is not damaged in appearance, measure the primary and secondary resistance of the ignition coil, if it exceeds the rated range, the ignition coil shall be judged as disable.

Installation check and judgment:
