My main motivation for offering this key, designed by VK3IL, is to provide a rugged, winter-friendly key for the /P CW community. While it does cost a bit more for my time (sorry about that!), you’re getting something robust and ready to go. Sure, you can source the parts and make it yourself for less, but that’s not everyone’s idea of fun! For those considering a kit, VK3IL’s page lists some sources.

Connection Options: I currently offer several connection setups:

• Integrated 3.5mm jack cable: Great for forgetful types! The cable is built in, so you won’t accidentally leave it behind.
• 3.5mm female socket: Perfect if you want a more packable setup and prefer to use your own 3.5mm aux cable.

These keys are compatible with most radios, provided the radio supplies 5V on the CW key port. Note that not all radios do (e.g., IC-705). Please check your radio's manual to confirm compatibility before purchasing. We cannot verify compatibility for your specific radio and will not offer refunds if the key is incompatible with your setup.
