TOASTER ELEMENTS
Upon the first few uses with new elements they may glow slightly red, make a crackling noise and give off a slight smell, it is advisable to let the elements heat for a while so they settle in before using them with any products in the toaster. The centre elements and end elements are different wattages across the range of toasters, this is because the end element only has to toast one side of the bread, the centre elements have to toast two sides, when installing the elements it does not matter which way they face
