Country of origin: Japan Shigaraki ware is pottery made in Shigaraki-cho Koka City Shiga Prefecture. It is counted as one of the six ancient kilns in Japan and is said to have a long history of over 1200 years. The name Hecho-mon comes from the Shigaraki craftsman's word used to mean "unusual things". These vessels have various expressions just like the various shapes created by nature and the individual personalities of each of us. They are pottery filled with the sincerity and playfulness of experts who value heterogeneity. The rough red clay unique to Shigaraki is thinly glazed and cooled and reduced fired. This series has a sophisticated texture but also has beautiful and gentle curves. It is a great presentation effect that makes food look great regardless of the season or ingredients. Each product may differ from the photo in size color glaze etc. Please enjoy the taste of pottery.
