DESCRIPTION:
For sale is a great cup and saucer in the floral pattern and gilding made by KPM (Konigliche Porzellan Manufaktur) in the 20th century. The cup and saucer are in the very good condition and marked underneath with the under glaze cobalt blue scepter as well as the red imperial orb and the other marks of this period.
Also for sale is a beautiful antique KPM small pitcher gilding and decorated on both sides with scenes of a romantic couple among trees and foliage. The jug is marked on its base with a blue cobalt scepter and the number 1. Based on the image of the scepter, I assume it is from the period 1763-1780.
The cup is 5.5 cm (or 2.1 in) high, the saucer is 11.5 cm (or 4.4 in) in diameter, the pitcher is 13 cm (or 5.1 in) high, and the total weight of the three pieces is 385 gr. Apart from a small chip on the spout rim, as I show in the two close-up photos 11 & 12, taking photos from above and below, and maybe some loss of gold on the handle, it is in very good condition.
