History:
Invented by George M. Wilis and introduced in 1917 by the Checkometer Sales Company of Chicago (who later became the Paymaster Corporation in the 1950s) this early check writing and protection machine was used to prevent fraudulent check writing and is a must-have for collectors of historical business antiques.

RETURN POLICY: We offer free returns on most of our items for 30 days. That means if you're unhappy with your item for any reason, we will pay the return shipping for you.  Once we receive your returned item, as long as it is in the same condition as it was sent and within 30 days from when you received it, we will issue you a full refund for the price of your item (less your original shipping).  All returns must be processed through eBay's return system. To initiate a return, go to your purchase history and select "return this item" from the drop down box next to your item. Follow the prompts, and a pre-paid return shipping label will be generated for you.


ITEMS THAT ARR​​​​​​​IVE DAMAGED: If you receive an item that has been damaged, please do not throw away the item or the packaging it arrived in. To initiate a refund, please open a return request by going to your purchase history and selecting "return this item" in the drop down box next to your item. Before a refund can be issued, we will need to see photos of both the item and its packaging. Then, we may ask you to hold on to both the item and its packaging for inspection by the carrier, or we may ask you to return the item to us, in which case we will provide you with a pre-paid return shipping label.
