Caladium Hilo Beauty is a rare polka-dot plant with Stunning Foliage yellow and white spots on bright green leaves. It is often called Alocasia Hilo Beauty but the newly classified genus is Caladium Hilo Beauty It grows quickly with generous amount of water and indirect sunlight.

Beautifully camouflage like pattern of dark, light greens and yellows cover each leaf. Alocasia ‘Hilo Beauty’ is an amazing Elephant Ear plant featuring green leaves mottled with creamy yellow splotches. The striking leaves are carried on bluish-black stems.

While commonly referred to as either an “Alocasia” or “Caladium,” this plant was reclassified as Caladium praetermissum in 2009. but not a colocasia. Ever since it arrived in private greenhouses, there’s always been a debate over which genus it really belonged to. The species name means “forgotten” or “overlooked,” which lends itself to the plant not having been correctly classified for so long.

Soil: a light weight, well draining soil is a must

Water: DO NOT overwater your Alocasia. Keep them evenly moist and give them plenty of humidity.

Temp: Normal room temperature is fine.
