The 10-stop Helix MagLock Burkard Series ND + Circular Polarizer Filter from PolarPro features a filter mounting system that was developed to both eliminate the hassle of threading filters on and off, while also providing a filter that's safely locked in place once installed. Unlike other magnetic filter systems on the market, the Helix MagLock provides a completely secure connection using a magnetic plus quarter-turn locking mechanism, making it lightning-fast to install or remove filters while also ensuring they stay locked in position during the most demanding shooting situations. This slim frame filter design resists vignetting on wide angle lenses with focal lengths of 19 to 17mm.

This optical glass filter adds 10 stops of neutral density to an exposure, offering finer control in available shutter speeds or aperture settings for both still and video applications. Using a longer shutter speed makes it possible to increase blur to convey a sense of movement, or to dial in a video camera frame rate. Increased density also makes it possible to shoot using wider lens apertures, helping to isolate a subject from the background and increasing bokeh.

The circular polarizer component of this filter is designed to remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water or glass, and also saturates colors to provide better contrast. This filter reduces reflections, and darkens both foliage and blue skies when shooting landscapes.
