Description
I was wondering how I could help the Ukrainian war effort. Sending money to charities was a possibility, but I wanted to participate in the actual war effort. Then it dawned on me that I could sell Ukrainian Postage stamps, purchased directly from the Ukrainian Postal Service. The funds received would go directly to the Government of Ukraine for use as they deemed most appropriate. All profits will go right back into buying more stamps from Ukrposhta.
To date, we provided the Government of Ukraine with $11,959.74 for their effort. The assistance of my past and future customers in helping me with this effort is greatly appreciated. Please tell your relatives, friends, and coworkers of my listings. Again, all profit on the Ukrainian stamps I sell will go right to the Ukrainian Postal Service for use by the Government of Ukraine as they see fit.
I do combine S&H for multiple items purchased by the same bidder. Just wait for my combined invoice before paying.
The sheet is described as follows on the Ukrposhta website:
On 22 January 2024, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a Decree “On the Territories of the Russian Federation Historically Inhabited by Ukrainians”. The decree was the response to the Kremlin's distortion of the history and national identity of Ukrainians in russia, in particular in the lands historically inhabited by Ukrainians: Kuban, Starodubshchyna, Northern and Eastern Slobozhanshchyna. The President of Ukraine noted that: “... today we must take steps not only to strengthen the unity of Ukraine and our people, but also to act for the unity of rights and freedoms, the truth about Ukrainians, the truth about us and the truth about our history.” The new stamp issue featuring folk costumes of Ukrainians from the Kuban, Belgorod and Kursk regions is a continuation of the famous series of postage stamps “Ukrainian Folk Costumes” and a return of the truth about the historical past for the sake of Ukraine's future.
