The big fig tree is grown organically in our own garden and all the ones I am selling here are propagated from it.
We do not use any artificial fertilisers or pesticides.
Red-brown, very cold tolerant, large fruited variety from Central Europe.
It can fruit 2 times in the UK, but in UK conditions, you should encourage the first crop as it can get enough sunshine and warmth to produce large fruit. The second crop doesn't get too far, but it can get ripe under protection.
Fruit size can reach 80-120g with dark red flesh.
It is self fertile, so no need of fig wasp for pollination. It grows well in sunny areas. With dark green foliage, in a couple of years, it can not only provide you with super sweet tasty fruit but also become an attractive ornament for your garden.
We send out 1-2 years' old plants (from cutting), normally between 20-40cm tall, potted into a 11cm pot.
