Travel back in time with this old acoustic guitar. It's 3/4 size with a 13-1/4" lower bout. There are no maker marks on it. I'd guess it was made by Harmony in Chicago, but am not certain. It's has Kluson Deluxe no-line tuners, so it's from the early 1950s or so.

There are some repaired, but open, cracks on the top and sides. Somebody bolted the neck heel to the neck block in the past. But they shimmed the neck heel the wrong way so the 12th action is sky high at about 9/32". Because of the incorrect neck angle, the strings don't fit into the saddle slots properly.

It comes in a cool old chipboard case. The top/neck case hinge doesn't work. The case handle and latches work. The case is a bit warped, but works well enough and looks cool. Frankly, I got this in an antique store in Portsmouth, Ohio. When I got it, the case accessory pocket was filled with ancient homegrown cannabis. I gave that ancient bud to the guy at the record shop down the street who told me about the guitar.

Who needs a cool project guitar?
