Five (5) Latex Rubber Sacs, assortment of most used sizes (#14, 15, 16, 17, 18)

Brand new sacs in the sizes most commonly used for small to medium-large vintage pens. These are the sizes we sell the most of by far. Charts that show which sac sizes fit which pen models are unreliable, not least because there can be considerable variation between individual examples of the same model. Measuring the sac nipple is not a reliable guide to correct sac sizing either, since the relationship between inner barrel dimensions and nipple size can vary dramatically. The best approach -- which is what all pros do -- is to have a range of sacs on hand so they can be tried for fit inside the barrel. An assortment like this makes finding the correct sac easy.

These sacs are fresh production for the Pen Sac Company in California, which took over the ink sac production department of White Rubber -- the leading suppliers of sacs to the pen industry from the 1920s through the 1980s. While other materials have their advantages when there are special requirements, for general usage latex sacs remain the best overall choice. Latex sacs are best attached with shellac.

NOTE: Latex sacs are made by dip-molding, so sacs will vary slightly in wall thickness and exterior diameter. Sac sizes are nominal, and indicate that a given sac will easily fit through a hole n/64 inch (1 inch = 25.4 mm) in diameter, "n" being the sac size. For more information on sac choice, please see the Pen Sac Primer on our website and our instructional videos on YouTube under Vintagepens. Payment

We are glad to combine shipping charges on multiple purchases, but it is vital that the proper checkout method be used. When buying more than one item, use the Add to Cart button -- NOT the Buy It Now button. View your cart when you are ready to complete the purchase, and if the total shipping charge is incorrect, do NOT pay. Instead, click the Request Total link at the top right and we will send you a corrected invoice.

Terms of Sale

We strongly believe in full and explicit description of any condition problems or flaws, and in very conservative grading. We stand behind our descriptions -- buy with confidence.
