This
video series is aimed at the application side of the art. Each of the six
volumes in this series focuses on a particular aspect of real-fighting skill.
Throughout these videos the teaching is illustrated by real fights. These
fights are not tournament “full-contact stick fighting” pillow fights that you
may be seen, but Real Contact Stickfighting as done by the recently surfaced
underground group, “The Dog Brothers.” Under real contact rules everything
short of deliberately putting your opponent in the hospital is allowed; any
stick techniques, punching, kicking, elbowing, kneeing, headbutting, trapping,
throwing, grappling, locking, and choking are all allowed against anywhere on
the body. Seeing how the material taught in these videos is applied in real
time will deeply accelerate your learning.

Real
Stickfighting Volume 1 – Power:
In
this spirit, volume 1 starts you out with how to develop the indispensable
element upon which all others are built… POWER! Fighters like Joe Louis, Mike
Tyson and Tommy Hearns were feared because everything they did was based upon
the core ability of being able to hit hard, fast, and often – if you want to be
a fighter to be reckoned with for real, this video is where to begin. Eric “Top
Dog” Knaus, assisted by Arlan “Salty Dog” Sanford and Marc “Crafty Dog” Denny,
is your trail guide on your path to developing the side of your art to where
you can Do IT!

Stickfighting Volume 2 – Footwork:
Now
that you can hit hard with what you learned in volume 1, you are ready for the
next step, Footwork. This footwork is based on the Pekiti Tirsia system. Pekiti
Tirsia means close quarters in the Alongo dialect of the Philippines. With the
footwork you learn to move on the outside, create an opening, close and finish
your opponent. If you can do this in stickfighting imagine how you will close
empty handed. Learn how to control fights with footwork. The video finishes
with a professional woodworker discussing the different types of fighting
sticks and a section on what you should know about fighting gear.

Stickfighting Volume 3 – Sinawali:
Why
do so many fighters have trouble fighting with Double Stick despite years of
training? If you can’t apply your sinawali skills in real time you probably
can’t apply your Kali empty hands skills as well. Learn to train Sinawali the
way a real fighter trains as Eric Knaus shows you how to fight with each hand
independently, without either getting in the other’s way. From here, Burt
“Lucky Dog” Richardson assisted by Lester “Surf Dog” Griffin guide you through
the transition from sinawali to empty hand fighting.

Real
Stickfighting Volume 4 – Blocks, Punyos, Thrusts, Disarms & the Snaky
Stick:
Apply
your skills the way a champion does – not every fight will be won with power.
Learn how to do damage at close quarters. Blocks, punyos, thrusts, and disarms
are what you will need to know before you face a worthy opponent. In the second
half of the video, you will be shown the door to the secret of the Snakey
Stick. Eric Knaus takes you through seven seguitas of the Pekiti Tirsia system
and shows how you ca make them work for real. You also get a close look at the
Dog Brothers philosophy.

Stickfighting Volume 5 – The Fang Choke & Machado Jiu Jitsu:
In
a real fight, grappling happens. No matter how good you are, it can happen to
you whether you like it or not. Make grappling range your friend. After showing
you the deadly “Fang Choke,” Eric Knaus turns the spotlight over to Carlos
Machado of the world renowned Machado Bros. who introduces you to the deadly
techniques of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu most immediately relevant to stickfighting.
The video closes with Dr. Mark Lawson giving the inside scoop on how to best
hit the skull and nerves and what damage it does. As always, there are lots of
actual fights throughout the video.

Stickfighting Volume 6 – The Stick Versus Other Weapons
There
is no instruction in this video, the fights start right away. See the stick
