This is a unique, hard to find booklet published in 1944 by the United States Army Transportation Corps. detailing its activities & operations in Germany and abroad during World War II.
The booklet was printed in France in 1944 and issued by the Stars and Stripes, a publication of the Information and Education Division, Special and Information Services, and under cooperation and guidance of Major General Frank S. Ross, Chief Of Transportation.
The booklet is in good condition with all pages intact, no rust to staples, and light wear to front and back covers. It measures 5.25 inches by 4.25 inches and is 52 pages long. There are illustrations and some photos throughout.
IN ADDITION, This booklet was found inside the accompanying envelope (as shown in photos) along with a few negatives that feature a soldier posing for camera. These will come included. I do not know who the photo is of, nor the relation it has to the names addressed on envelope. The envelope is postmarked December 1944.
This is a nice period collectible from World War II, and an interesting read! The booklet obviously presents information to keep morale up for the troops and those at home.
