McKittrick is a city in Montgomery County,
Missouri with a population of 61 at the 2010 census. It was laid out in 1895 when the "Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad" was
extended to that point. A post office
called McKittrick was established in 1894 and remained in operation until
1967. The McKittrick Farmers
Mercantile was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.
I could not find any history on the “Eagle
Drug Store” or the “Walker Brothers” but they are on this card,
which is postmarked 1911 in McKittrick.
It is in good condition with minor wear and a clean, clear image. The reverse is messaged and clean. ....
I received this message from another Ebayer after I posted this...
" Hi, I think this is actually from Plain Dealing, Illinois. There is a Walkers Brothers Drug Store in Illinois. I own property in McKittrick and historically there have only been two brick buildings there. I own one of them. Just thought I'd share what I think I know should it help. I'm doing research and found you." I cannot confirm either...
The colors on the card may vary due to the scanner settings and screen projections.
Unless otherwise noted, I use Wikipedia, Playle's and Metropostcard for research and try to be as accurate as possible. Corrections appreciated.
