The Bernardaud factory, active in Limoges since 1863, has always produced very luxurious tableware such as that used in 1957 on the occasion of the visit to France of Queen Elizabeth of England., For this service the inspiration is taken from the ancient Chinese porcelains that the East India Company imported into Europe, From a turf of grass emerge flowering leafy branches in iron red and gold.

Bernardaud's Zinnias pattern is decorated with a delightful pattern of rust and coral zinnias on a pure white porcelain background. Gold trims the edge of the plate and also highlights the floral design . The border of the plate has an embossed lattice-like design. The bottom of the piece is backstamped "B & Co., Limoges, France, L. Bernardaud & Co., Limoges, Zinnias.

The items are  in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs and no utensil marks. The glaze is very bright and shiny ! This is a very beautiful piece of china!
