American Gold Eagles

The American Gold Eagle series was first authorized under the Gold Bullion Coin Act of 1985 and released in 1986. These coins are available in multiple sizes and denominations, including 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz. Although this coin contains a full 1/2 oz of pure gold, its total weight is approximately 16.97 grams (0.5455 troy ounces) due to its .9167 fine gold composition, which includes copper and silver for added durability.

2025 1/2 oz American Gold Eagle Design
The obverse of the 2025 Gold Eagle continues the tradition of featuring Lady Liberty, inspired by Augustus Saint-Gaudens' design originally seen on the 1907 $20 Gold Double Eagle. This iconic image shows Liberty holding a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left, symbolizing enlightenment and peace. The reverse design, introduced in 2021, features a close-up of a bald eagle. This new design was created by Jennie Norris, replacing the original design by Miley Busiek that had been in use since the series' inception.

PCGS MS-69 Certification
PCGS (Professional Coin Grading Service) is one of the most trusted and respected coin grading services in the world. A grade of MS-69 denotes that the coin is in near-perfect condition. PCGS encapsulation ensures the coin remains protected, maintaining its quality and value for collectors and investors.
