This listing is for a striking collector plate by James Faulkner entitled "The Great Blue Heron" which is the Second Issue in "The Elegant Birds Series" produced under the hallmark of W.S. George.  This limited edition 8 1/2-inch plate is hand numbered, trimmed in gold and in excellent condition.

The artist's note on the back of the plate says: It is fairly easy to capture the features of this striking and distinctive looking bird - but conveying its grace - its regal bearing - that's the real challenge!

As you can see in the photo, the colors are vibrant and the attention to detail is nicely done making this plate a great gift choice or a nice addition to a collection.
