Overview

The Brunton Pocket Geo Transit features a large hinge dial that enables multiple measurement methods. This is a versatile tool that combines traditional transit measurement methods with some simultaneous measurement capabilities. The Geo can take traditional strike and dip measurements or can measure dip and dip direction simultaneously.

Hinge dial allows for simultaneous measurement of dip and dip direction or trend and plunge on certain surfaces and orientations
Lid opens to 220 degrees and the hinge dial has indicators of which needle to read for plunge direction
Flat bottom allows for easier dip angle and dip azimuth measurements at low angles
Mirror enables sighting and measurement of bearings and vertical angles
Short and long sights give the user additional functionality and accuracy when shooting bearings
Dual long-level bubbles allow the user to level the compass from the sides
Needle can be set to lock automatically, allowing for accurate readings
Precision NdFeB disc magnet provides very accurate readings and resists demagnetization
Magnetic needle can be balanced for use almost anywhere in the world
Induction dampening makes for a quick-settling needle
Sapphire jewel bearing allows for smooth needle movement throughout the life of the instrument
Internal components are sealed with an O-ring for improved water and dust resistance
All transits are compatible with Brunton's Jacob's Staff/Tripod ball and socket adaptor (not included)

Return Policy

We are able to accept returns on items in the original, brand-new condition (with tags attached) for up to 60 days from the date of delivery.



Customers are responsible for the return shipping cost.  Any products returned in damaged condition or with missing parts will not be eligible for a refund.  Please contact us directly for return instructions.



Please Note:  For sanitary reasons along with some state regulations, we are not able to accept returns on restricted items.  Restricted items include but are not limited to undergarments and bathing suits. As a buyer from our store, you can take comfort in knowing we do not resell any restricted items.
