Description

This is a super-directional stereo shotgun microphone capsule that can be attached to the H5/H6/H8 handheld recorders, the Q8 handheld video recorder, the U-44 audio interface, and the F1/F4/F8/F8N field recorders. It uses the MS stereo method, which combines a super-directional shotgun microphone (MID) that picks up center sound and a bidirectional microphone (SIDE) that picks up left and right sound. You can freely change the stereo width by adjusting the input level of the SIDE microphone. If you use the H5/H6/F4/F8/F8N recorders that support MS-RAW mode recording, you can also adjust the stereo width after recording. You can target a specific sound with the shotgun microphone and later mix in environmental sounds picked up by the SIDE microphone as needed.
