The Paramounts are an R&B British beat band formed by Gary Brooker and Robin Trower, who would later go on to play an active role in Procol Harum.
This CD compiles the recordings of six singles and EPs released by the British label Parlophone, starting with their debut single "Poison Ivy" (a cover of The Coasters), which was a minor hit.
A must-have for British R&B fans, this CD features the authentic sound that even Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones fell in love with at the time.
