I prewash all my fabrics in dye and fragrance free laundry detergent before cutting to remove any dust or debris from the factory, and to ensure there is no shrinkage. They're super absorbent and extra durable.
These adorable little burp spit up diaper cloths can be machine washed with your laundry in cold water, non chlorine bleach, and tumbled dry on low heat. I machine finish the interior seams with with cotton wrapped polyester thread. I top stitch the seams to help prevent fraying through multiple washing and drying cycles and to give your design a lovely finished look.

Cotton is what the plant material that my design is made of. Flannel is the end product fabric and the way the cotton plant fibers are woven together. You can recognize Flannel material easily because it is generally a thin, lightweight material that has a fuzziness to it called the nap. The fuzzy pile makes flannel softer to the touch.
