The keys are transponder electronic keys and must be programmed at the vehicle to the vehicle's computer. In most situations you can do this yourself...see programming instructions below.

Extra Services & Programming

Below is the on-board programming procedure.

Originate New Key: When zero working keys exist (all keys lost).
1. Insert new working key into ignition cylinder and turn it to the ON (RUN) position. The theft light on the dash will illuminate and stay on for ten minutes.
2. When the theft light goes out, repeat the same procedure as in step #1, two more times.
3. When the theft light goes out, the new key has been
    programmed.

To program a second key (follow-up on above procedure).
1. Within 20 seconds of completing the last step for the first key, insert a second key and turn to the ON
position. When the light goes out, the new key is
programmed.
