private bank became Ambler National Bank in 1874, then the
Bank Of The State Of Florida, which in 1903 was absorbed by the Atlantic
National Bank, which in turn became First Union National Bank Of
Florida, which was acquired by Wachovia. Notes

Stockton,
John N.C., Legislator, banker, was born in c. 1860 in Gadsden Co, FL. For many
years he has been the president of the National Bank of Tampa, and the National
Bank of Florida. In 1897 he served with distinction as a member of the Flordia
state legislature. After his father's death, when he was twelve years old, the
Stocktons moved to Jacksonville. ...Entering the employ of D. G. Ambler as
bookkeeper in 1878, he was at the end of five years admitted to partnership
under the firm name of Ambler, Marvin & Stockton. CONDITION: Normal letter folds and in very excellent condition. THE "EBAY ITEM" thing is just a loose piece of paper that is not attached to the billhead. Approximate size is 9" X 6". If you have any questions, please contact me.
