You are bidding on about 25 WHITE BEACH ROSE SEEDS - Rosa rugosa ' alba '.  ( See my pink variety listed )

Also know as Sea Rose, Salt-spray Rose. Beach roses are commonly found across North America near the ocean from Nova Scotia to Florida and along the Gulf coast growing on sand dunes . ( Also does good in a garden .

'Alba' is a white sport of R. rugosa. It is a dense, upright, rounded shrub which typically grows 4-6' tall and 3-5' wide. Features fragrant, pure white, single flowers (to 3.5" across). Blooms profusely from late spring to late summer. Glossy, leathery, dark green foliage turns attractive shades of yellow, orange and red in fall.
After blooming, the flowers of the beach rose bear fruit, called rose hips, which last through the summer and into the winter months. The fruit is orange to brick red and is eaten by many birds and other animals, including humans.
The rose hip contains an abundance of seeds, which are distributed, in part, through the waste of the animals that feed on them. Like American beach grass, the beach rose thrives in sandy habitats.

Habitat: Coastal sand dunes, salt marshes, rocky shores, and roadsides.

Seasonal appearance: Blooms May to September.

Medicinal use :

The leaves are used in the treatment of fevers. The flowers act on the spleen and liver, promoting blood circulation. They are used internally in the treatment of poor appetite and digestion, and menstrual complaints arising from constrained liver energy. The root is used in the treatment of coughs. The fruit of many members of this genus is a very rich source of vitamins and minerals, especially in vitamins A, C and E, flavanoids and other bio-active compounds

Edible parts :

Fruit - raw or cooked. They are very sweet and pleasant to eat, though it takes quite a bit of patience to eat any quantity. The fruit is a fairly large size for a rose with a relatively thick layer of flesh. The fruit is about 25 mm in diameter. Rich in vitamin C, containing up to 2.75% dry weight. Some care has to be taken when eating this fruit . Flowers - raw or cooked. An aromatic flavor, they are also used in jellies and preserves.
