This is a hardback book published in 1879 and is in very good condition for its age. It is a compilation of travels articles by Edward Walford published in a magazine called 'Once a Week'.
It was presented as a mathematics prize by Preston Grammar School in 1880.
I have listed a couple of photos of the type of illustrations in the book. If you see a large paper clip in any pictures that is simple used to keep the pages flattish for the photograph.
