The journey of Ravn III entails more than a mere color change. A makeover was bestowed upon its tuckbox design. Exploring further, though the back design underwent color transformation, my efforts were invested in a concept anchored in the interplay of the sun and moon -- two celestial symbols deeply woven into Norse mythology, a thread running seamlessly from the series’ genesis. In the old Norse tongue, “Sol” signifies the sun while “Mani” stands for the moon.
For this particular series, a fresh ambigram was conceived to take the place of its predecessor. Digging into a darker design realm, I chose to incorporate the raven skull--a subtle homage to age-old mystical practices. This skull is set within a familiar piratesque arrangement, where two black raven feathers cross behind it. Clutched within the raven skull’s beak is the ace of spades--a definitive touch.
Ravn Eclipse is a custom-designed deck of playing cards designed by the legendary Stockholm17 for the ever so charming magician Caroline Ravn.
The result an elegant and classic looking deck of playing cards, with improved courts and standard faces.
This deck is perfect to perform magic tricks, cardistry, and of course to play at the green table.
The deck is printed by Cartamundi on a special paper stock with specific varnish designed for better handling and durability.
56 cards printed on Cambric 310gr Black Core paper with 9C² varnish.

52 standard faces with custom Ace of Spades.
2 custom Jokers, new and with reveal card.
2 gaff cards: Jack of Clubs/10 of Hearts and double backer.
The look of the 12 Court cards has been improved. The faces of the Jacks, Queens and Kings look better, and their hands have been redrawn as well.
The tuck box is printed by Oath Playing Cards and is made with Soft Touch paper.
Tuck box and cards are cello-wrapped.
