Sapele can be distinguished from other mahoganies by its distinct Cedar cent. It is the densest and stiffest of the Mahoganies giving it more high end and overtones than Honduran Mahogany. Although Sapele is a Mahogany in the Meliaceae family it is a star in its own right. On paper the Strength, stiffness and even hardness are almost identical to Rock Maple! Its softer but slightly stiffer! ★Remember★ This blank is under 3" wide. It is only wide enough for the standard Martin style head! |
