Textile Art Architectural Embroidery Taj Mahal Metallic Gold Zardozi Shadow Fram

This is likely a depiction of the famous Building Taj Mahal and is beautifully made using a heavy wound gold thread fastened to a black velvet background.

The embroidery is of good quality and detail and portrays an accurate representation of this temple.

This is called Zardozi embroidery and the process starts with the craftsmen sitting cross-legged around the wooden framework with specialized their tools. The fabric is then stretched over the wooden frame and the embroidery work begins.

A needle is used to pull out each zardozi element and then, it is integrated into the basic design by pushing the needle into the fabric.
