Though damiana has a strong reputation as a herb of favourite longevity herbs because it is completely restorative, it restores exhausted nerves, exhausted dreams and exhausted spirit.
Damiana is not only an aphrodisiac tea, it is also a natural anti-depressant and a calming tonic. Damiana as a tea is a tonic for the kidneys, the sexual organs and the nervous system. It is excellent at balancing the hormones and the emotions. Damiana dream therapy:
Damiana is also one of my favourite herbs to use for dream work. It stimulates and promotes one’s ability to remember dreams and often will promote colourful dreamlike states.
Damiana herbal tea: For regular consumption, use about 1 to 2 teaspoons per cup, and steep in hot water for 10-15 minutes. To brew a stronger tea, use 10-15 grams of dried Damiana and steep in 1 litre of hot water. You can reduce the water amount by boiling it off, or just split up the dose in various cups.
